Banquette Seating

I currently live in a neighborhood of Chicago as a renter but would love to buy a house in the same area. Most of the houses are smaller craftsmans, tudors and bungalows with smaller kitchens. So I have really fallen in love with the idea of having banquette seating in the breakfast nook.

Here are some great inspiration pictures:

Loving this exposed brick wall!

Love this booth seating and the soft colors.
This antique-looking table looks great against the crisp white.

This tiny booth is so cute!

The darker colors and shades are fantastic.
Love those chairs and those pillows! Such a warm space.

Welcome To...

My bedroom.
Above our bed hangs a sepia-toned picture of my husband in his 1960's Chevy truck.
The bedroom consists of creams, browns and golds with a pop of orangish-red color.
A pair of earthy-toned pictures hang on one wall.
My most favorite item of the room- my Pier 1 curtains.
I love the pop of color!

Our apartment lacks closet space so we purchased this wardrobe from Ikea.
And extra storage is available in the boxes on top.
And that's my cute little bedroom.

Springtime Yellow

I am (im)patiently awaiting the arrival of spring and warmer weather.

But inside, spring has sprung.
Well at least at the dining room table.
A little yellow vignette. Some small, yellow appetizer plates with some lemons on top.
All on a yellow tray and yellow tablerunner. Ahhhh...a little sunshine inside!

Sweet & Simple Treat

Go to Between Naps on the Porch for more tablescape ideas.

This morning I enjoyed my usual cup of coffee with freshly baked currant scones.

These are napkins my mom gave me. We're big pug fans!

And here is a sweet and simple tray to hold all of my scones and accessories.
Some pink for Valentine's Day :)
A mini plate caddy for my scones. With a flower petal candle votive and my cute little owl tea towels found in the dollar section of Target.
The pug napkins.
A sugar bowl and creamer for your coffee.
Look at the foggy cloche from my still-warm scones! Yummy!

And some valentines for my valentines.
Vintage valentines found at the antique mall.

Lots of love to all my valentines!
